Grinspoon Farm Awards
Harold Grinspoon Charitable Foundation
The Harold Grinspoon Charitable Foundation is pleased to announce the launch of the Grinspoon Farm Awards, a program to support local farmers with projects that will help improve their farm business. The awards are for farmers who are members of either Berkshire Grown or Community Involved in Sustaining Agriculture (CISA), partner organizations for this new program.
In an effort to have the widest impact, the individual awards will be up to $2,500 for a total of $50,000. Mr. Grinspoon realizes the importance of small farms in our region and hopes that these awards will help with farm improvements related to equipment and farm operations.
"We were so pleased to partner with the Harold Grinspoon Charitable Foundation because the Foundation understands the vital role family farms play in our communities." says Philip Korman, Executive Director of Community Involved in Sustaining Agriculture (CISA). Barbara Zheutlin, Executive Director of Berkshire Grown adds "We're thrilled that the Harold Grinspoon Charitable Foundation is offering financial awards for farmers in Western Massachusetts to strengthen their farm businesses. This helps build the local food economy in our region.""
The deadline for applying is January 30th and interested applicants are encouraged to visit the website for more information and how to apply: www.hgf.org/farm-awards
