Western New England College senior James Takyi will be honored with a 2011 Entrepreneurship Award.
The Harold Grinspoon Charitable Foundation's Entrepreneurship Initiative has announced that James Takyi has been recognized for demonstrating entrepreneurial spirit for his business "Tachi Tech."
Jointly nominated by faculty members at both STCC (where James is an alum) and WNEC (where James is a senior), Tachi Tech is a computer repair company that provides hardware and software technology solutions to STCC college students and staff. In addition, Tachi Tech services are available to the general public.
Mr. Takyi, along with award recipients from other area colleges, will be honored at the 2011 Entrepreneurship Awards Ceremony & Banquet to be held Wednesday, April 27th at The Log Cabin in Holyoke, MA.
Last year, more than thirty-three students attending colleges and universities in the Pioneer Valley were recognized by the Grinspoon Foundation's Entrepreneurship Initiative for demonstrating "entrepreneurial spirit."
