HGF's own Diane Troderman receives an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters from Wheaton College.
HGF's own Diane Troderman was awarded an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters on Sunday, May 11 during Wheaton College's 178th Commencement in Norton, Mass.
Troderman, who attended Wheaton on scholarship in the 1960s, has been a generous donor to the college, served on its President's Commission from 1990-2002, and was a class fund agent in 2012.
Troderman, who celebrated her 50th reunion at the college this year, addressed the class of 2013 by saying "What does it mean to live abundantly? I believe it means being grateful for what one has and thankful for what one has been given so that sharing one's resources with others becomes not only our greatest joy but also a way of life."
Wheaton officials lauded Troderman and her husband, Harold Grinspoon, for their charitable work at the Harold Grinspoon Foundation, saying that the work " fuels hope and changes lives of people around the world, including here at Wheaton."
