PJ Library is hiring digital media associate to join our team. We’re looking for someone who is meticulous with details, thrives in a collaborative team environment, and enjoys the fast-paced nature of the digital world. 

The Digital Media Associate will play critical role in assisting in workflow for digital and social content teams. This includes scheduling content across multiple platforms, overseeing analytics and reporting, and managing the team’s outputs. You’ll also work as an associate producer on PJ Library’s award-winning podcast series.
 
 

Responsibilities

  • Manages social media team’s calendars and scheduled content that encourages audience participation and user generated content. This includes YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and emerging platforms.
  • Creates and oversees production schedules for new digital content and podcasts
  • Analyzes and regularly reports on audience information, engagement, social mentions, demographics, and success of social media campaigns.
  • Writes and posts SEO- and social-driven blog content for PJ Library’s websites.
  • Curates outstanding content from partners and parenting, Jewish, and literary sources.
  • Drafts and helps distribute enewsletters to subscribers and stakeholders.
  • Coordinates with Director of Digital Content to manage invoices, W9s and contractor documents.
  • Contributes to the creation and execution of larger digital marketing campaigns.
 

Qualifications

  • Content creation and brand copy writing experience. You’ll need to match a variety of tones and maintain consistency throughout channels.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. We manage up and laterally on our teams.
  • Strong time management skills to switch gears quickly, and balance priorities. PJ Library’s digital presence is growing rapidly.
  • Previous experience working in a content management system and email marketing systems.
  • Demonstrated interest and experience in social media and digital marketing, with a familiarity with each social media platform’s insights and business reporting functions. (You should be able to define impression versus reach without having to look it up.)
  • Knowledge of Jewish culture and customs is a bonus but not a requirement.
  • Most important, a desire to learn new tools, methods, and viewpoints. We value curiosity and growth.
 

Experience

  • 2+ years in social media marketing
 

Location

  • Remote with a preference for being able to periodically work in our Agawam, MA office post-pandemic.
