Web Operations Associate

The Harold Grinspoon Foundation (HGF) is seeking a Web Operations Associate with a keen eye for detail to assist in day-to-day content and front-end web work across more than ten web properties.

Reporting to the Web Marketing Manager, the Web Operations Associate will be part of a growing marketing team responsible for the growth and promotion of HGF’s flagship program, PJ Library, as well as additional HGF programs and initiatives. This is a full-time position based at the HGF main office in Agawam, MA.



The Web Operations Associate will:

  • As part of the web team, work with multiple internal stakeholders to produce and design web content on multiple properties, following an established content calendar
  • Design, implement, and provide quality assurance for blog content created by the Digital Content team
  • Maintain and update existing web content across all HGF sites (60,000+ visitors per month)
  • Respond to requests for content updates from internal stakeholders
  • Claim tickets for content updates and move them through an agile workflow, comprehensively commenting and reporting on status updates on tickets as needed.
  • Perform quality assurance checks for new and previously published website content and development
  • Work directly with the Web Marketing Manager to design and develop new site pages and features
  • Maintain content and technical SEO best practices across all properties
  • Proactively seek out web and SEO issues using a variety of tools, including Google Webmaster Tools, Moz, Google Analytics, and similar services
  • Employ Kentico CMS and internal front-end development standards to assist with development work such as page templates, page types, email templates, and web forms
  • Assist in troubleshooting web and email-related issues as reported by internal staff
  • ​As needed, assist with creating, managing, and sending email campaigns


  • Exacting attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Experience working within a content management system (CMS).
  • Strong working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and familiarity with an HTML framework. (Bootstrap and/or Foundation preferred. Some JavaScript knowledge is a plus.)
  • Experience with software within Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop.
  • Familiarity of image editing for web best practices including file formats, cropping, and sizing. Experience with photography color correction preferred.
  • Familiarity with SEO best practices.
  • Familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with an Integrated Development Environment (i.e. VSCode) is preferred.
  • Ability to identify issues and seek out improvements to user experience and accessibility standards.
  • Ability to work independently in an Agile / Kanban workflow.
