Deborah Hochberg

Debbie Hochberg is Senior Advisor to the Paul E. Singer Foundation, where she focuses on partnerships and board work. Debbie started her career in finance and investment banking as Director of Investor Relations at Multex, Inc. and at Merrill Lynch & Co. She switched to non-profits after Sept 11, 2001 in an effort to strengthen Israel, American foreign policy, and the relationship between the two countries. For ten years, Debbie was an active lay leader helping to grow a handful of non-profit organizations and joined the Singer Foundation in 2013 to help establish and grow its efforts in global Jewish philanthropy, build relationships, and scale entrepreneurial projects. She currently serves on the board of Momentum, OneTable, The Jewish Food Society, and The Jewish Funders Network.

As a mother of three children, and a board member of organizations that focus on Jewish values, community, culture, and ritual, Debbie believes PJ Library is uniquely positioned to engage families, within and outside the home in these key areas. She sees the opportunity to establish meaningful connections to Judaism and Israel as a family, and build on these connections with other families in the community as one of PJ's most critical keys to impact. An alumnae of Harvard Business School and Harvard college, Debbie loves to stay active - she is happiest biking, hiking, walking her dogs, and spending time with her three kids and husband.
